Uber CTO Praveen Neppalli Naga told TechCrunch that these new tools went from a simple idea to a live product in just months. He credits this speed to “agentic AI” tools like Cursor. In the past, building a hotel booking system would have taken at least a year. AI cut that time in half by helping engineers write and debug code much faster. Naga believes we are seeing a fundamental shift in how people build software.
